So there’s this commercial that’s on TV all the time now, where this girl is having a crazy allergic reaction because she ate a brownie that had peanut butter in it. Instead of like, taking the message that I was supposed to take from this commercial, which is probably like, make sure you pay attention to allergies or something… I just decided that I REALLY wanted chocolate peanut butter brownies. Clearly I only have food on the brain. Although due to the pretty little swirls all over these, I’m pretty sure someone with peanut allergies would figure it out and probably stay away. So we’re safe!… [read more]
I have to start this by asking: have you tried those Easter M&M’s White Strawberry Shortcake yet!? I got myself a bag to make this recipe…now, just take it from me: Never buy just one bag. Trust me. You need one for the recipe, but, you need at least another bag for the house car ride home. AND, they’re only at Target, and only for a limited time. For these reasons, you should probably just buy like, 65 bags. Here- take a coupon.
While on this candy shopping excursion, I grabbed some Easter DOVE Peanut Butter Eggs, Starburst Sweet & Sour Jellybeans, Skittles Bunny Topper, MORE M&M’s, and more chocolate eggs. (Hey, I’m pregnant, okay?) -Oh and here: Save 10% on Starburst Jellybeans too. Target Super stores will be hosting a sampling event on March 20th as well-WOO!
Let me start out by saying, these dreamy, creamy tarts look like heaven… but they were NOT heavenly to take pictures of. The lighting was best outside, so outside I went- No one warned me that it was the windiest day EVER. These tarts almost ended up all over the lawn. The worst was when I could hear a massive gust coming right before I had a good setup in place. Man oh man… but hey- it worked out.… [read more]
I’m gonna level with you. I eat pretty much all day long these days. I’m nearing my third trimester here and food is literally on my mind all the time. This is no problem, except that…well it’s considered bad form in the office if you’re chompin’ away in someone’s face during a morning meeting. It’s also considered bad form if you throw your notepad in their face just to make the meeting end faster so that you can go eat something. So having this fruit dip in the morning has pretty much saved my life…

HAPPPPPPY HOLIDAAAYYYSSSSS, from me to YOU! Can you even believe that Christmas is next week?! Because… I can not. For one, I live in New Hampshire and it hasn’t even snowed once. That’s crazy! And weird… just plain weird.
It hasn’t stopped us from enjoying our usual holiday traditions though 😉 Let’s see… we’ve…. watched Home Alone like, five times… haven’t started our Christmas shopping yet…. Put up the tree, made travel arrangements to see family, and made Christmas Cookies… (which is what brings you here..)!
What are your favorite holiday traditions!?
I have a feeling that next year will start a brand new set of traditions, since this is the last year that it will be just the two of us 😉 (Well, three… including Toby)… [read more]
Sometimes, nothing hits the spot like good ol’ cheesecake. I brought these to a little girl’s night recently… I was afraid that I might be a little too lazy to make a homemade concoction for this little swaray, but these are too easy- I had no excuse. You can even use Nilla Wafers instead of making a crust 😉 And the topping is totally customizable.… [read more]
Who the HECK said that making fudge had to be hard?! I was done with this in 20 minutes and already had all of the (four) ingredients in the house to make it. WOOO! My only problem now is that it’s tasty as HECK. It tastes like it was hard to make. (No need to tell people that it’s not.)
The original recipe calls for walnuts but I decided that peanut butter was calling my name instead, so I chopped up some peanut butter cups and it worked like a charm. (Wonder what else you can toss in here?! Chopped up Snickers would be fabuloso….)
This easy-peasy fudge is inspired by my…
Sally’s Candy Addiction Cookbook, TWO of which, I’m going to GIVE AWAY!
All you have to do is leave a comment, telling me what your all-time favorite candy is! (That’s as easy as this fudge is.)
Aside from fudge, this cookbook has recipes for TONS of different sweet-tooth fixes. I like to flip through the big colorful pages and drool 😀
*Giveaway open to legal US residents only, open until Thursday November 12th, 12 am EST.
- 1 (14 oz.) can full-fat sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups diced peanut butter cups
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with foil, letting the sides drape over so you can easily lift out the fudge after it sets.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and the condenced milk. Heat on medium, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth. (This takes a good 20 minutes or so.)
- Remove the pan from heat and mix in the vanilla and the peanut butter cups.
- Pour into the lined baking pan.
- Let it set in the fridge for 4 hours or at room temperature overnight.
- Use a sharp knife to cut it into 1-inch squares. If the fudge is cold, let it sit out for about 20 minutes before attempting to cut.

It’s kind of hard for me to talk about Butterfingers without wanting to shove like 7 of them in my mouth. It’s even harder for me to talk about this Butterfinger Bomb Cake without wanting to stick my FACE in it so I’m literally eating this as I’m talking. (It’s oozing with caramel deliciousness by the way.)… [read more]

Question for ya. What are your favorite parts about a normal day? –(If by any chance you just said, “when the alarm goes off”, I have nothing more to say to you… )-I’m not exactly a morning person. But you know what I’ll wake for, any day?! FOOD. I’m am not one to skip breakfast. (Or any meal, for that matter) But being that I’m not a morning person, the food has to happen like, instantaneously. (Enter: Quaker Instant Oatmeal from Walmart.)… [read more]

I don’t know about you, but summer is practically hours away at this point, and I couldn’t be more excitedddddd! I’m a New Hampshirite after all and winter was LONG. Just ask this guy….
For us, summer is all about having spontaneous, spur of the moment… FUN. A lot of the fun we have tends to be unplanned- do you agree? Sometimes those times are just the best! Planning can be overrated I tell ya. So I think it’s part of my spontaneous nature to enter contests & Sweepstakes –I mean you just never know, right? You can enter every day to win a $100 e-gift card to Walmart-give it a shot! How awesome would an extra $100 to Wally World be? Share a Little Funshine Sweepstakes
I made sure to enter, because I stock up on goodies at Walmart all summer long for those times when friends stop by and we need something fun to spice things up. (Enter these M&M’s® Caramel Apples!)
These will get anyone extra excited! Basically, I like to lay out an entire candy bar when we have friends over. Because… what’s more fun than an enter bar full of candy? We go all out on big bowls of M&M’s® (peanut and plain, of course), Life Savers®, Starburst®, and Skittles®! I eat up the M&M’s® while my husband goes for the sweet stuff.
Which do you prefer?! Chocolate or Candy?
Oh… and if you’re wondering how I calm this little guy down after his outside escapades, Pedigree Dentastix® does it every time 😉 I mean, the little guy deserves a treat too- he doesn’t even know that they’re good for his teeth!
How do you like to enjoy summer?! And really… when was the last time you did something completely spontaneous? I want to hear your fun summer stories!
- 8 whole Apples
- 4 (11 oz.) packages Caramel Melts
- 2 heaping Tablespoons Heavy Cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- Dash Of Salt
- M&M's® Plain (42 oz.) bag
- 8 Chopsticks
- Melt the caramel and cream using a double boiler, or a pot set over another pot of simmering water. Stir in the vanilla until combined.
- Stick a chopstick into the bottom of each apple and dip them into the caramel one at a time, coating until you’ve reached the base of the chopstick. Allow excess caramel to drop off and then carefully roll the apple into the M&M's®. Do this quickly, as the caramel hardens fast.
- Repeat with each apple, refrigerating each one as soon as they’re covered. Once they’ve cooled, wrap them with cellophane or plastic wrap.
Oh!!! And download the Blippar app from your Apple or Android store to scan your package and receive exclusive content!
