Not only is this a genius 20-minute dinner idea, but it also makes a great appetizer idea for guests!

How to Make It

*See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

Naan Bread Pizza Topping Ideas

  • Meats: Pepperoni, Sausage, Ground Beef, Ham, Buffalo Chicken, Grilled Chicken.
  • Other: Mushrooms, Olives, Peppers, Onions, Pineapple, Feta, Pesto, Caramelized Onions, Sundried Tomatoes.

Pro Tips

  • Stonefire is the brand of Naan bread that I use. It can be found in the bakery or deli section at the grocery store. You can also make homemade Naan bread.
  • Low moisture/whole milk mozzarella is best for pizza. Dragone is my preferred brand.
  • If adding vegetables or raw sausage/beef, make sure they’re fairly small in size so that they have a chance to cook through.
  • I purchased washed/sliced mushrooms for this as a time saver. Mine were sliced on the thicker side so sliced them in half to make 2 thinner slices.
  • Rao’s Marinara or Pizza sauce is great on these. You can also try my homemade marinara sauce.
  • Grilling Method: Place the prepared pizza directly on a preheated gas grill at 375-400 degrees, (medium-high heat). Ensure that the flame isn’t touching the pizza directly. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or so, until the cheese is melted and toppings are cooked.
  • If you prefer to make your dough from scratch, try my Homemade Pizza recipe! And be sure to try my Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Hawaiian Pizza recipes next!

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • To reheat from frozen, bake in a 375° oven for 10-12 minutes, until warm and heated through.

  1. We love the nana pizza 🍕 short cut. We sometimes make a cheese – steak one. Spread mayo. on naan( I know it sounds gross, but try it), then fry ground beef with onion & peppers and top with American cheese, Can add your choice of herbs, crushed red peppers, etc. Love your recipes!

    • Oh wow the cheese steak sounds amazing Joyce! I’m so happy you guys are enjoying this one. I love making pizza with my daughter. Thanks so much for the great comments!🩷

  2. Easy and tasty!

  3. I think this is one of my all time favourites.  I never thought to use naan, but it’s absolutely perfect size and thickness.  We make really good ham and pineapple pizzas probably two or three times a week.  I love love love this.

  4. I love this recipe! I make in the air fryer 400/8 min. and turn it at 4 min. I also have made it with soft flour tacos. Very crunchy!

  5. delicious! i love all ideas for a quick weeknight dinner and this hit all the marks. I used storebought naan and mixed some tomato paste with half a jar of leftover pasta sauce and added in chopped fresh herbs. I used the garlic parmesan butter (which we will be using the next time we make popcorn!) and layered the tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and broccoli on top. After it came out of the oven, I drizzled some garlic olive oil over the charred broccoli and sprinkled red pepper flakes. Served with a green salad, this was a big winner with the family. thanks for a great recipe.

    • That sounds like such a yummy meal! I’m actually going to try this with the garlic olive oil, broccoli, and red pepper flakes, my mouth is watering! Thanks so much for the great feedback!❤️

  6. I love the recipe. I have a few queries. What is a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese in grams? Secondly, what size are the naans in inches.
If possible could you substitute the measurements of the ingredients to grams please

  7. Superb! Hubby gave me an 11 out of 10 😉. I will definitely make this again and often. Why do take out when my own (I mean Stephanie’s) is so much better!

  8. This came out very good. Great for quick meal or snack!

  9. This was awesome.  I live in a very rural area and have to drive 45 minutes to get a good pizza, so typically satisfy our pizza cravings with frozen pizza.  This recipe is a game changer-  the crust was soooo good, I loved the Parmesan garlic butter trick!  And we each got to customize our pizzas, which I loved.  Thank you Stephanie, I loved this!!

    • Hi Jenny! I am sooo happy to hear that you love this pizza recipe! I was really excited to share it, we love pulling this from the freezer for a last minute pizza party! 😉 Definitely fun for everyone to choose their own toppings. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, I really appreciate it!! -Stephanie

  10. I can’t believe how easy this was! Me and my 2 sons had fun adding our favorite toppings. I made a veggie version and my sons made extra cheese and pepperoni. Thanks for the fun recipe Stephanie!
