How to Make It
See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.
Season and sear the chicken and set aside. Deglaze the skillet with white wine. Add garlic and reduce by half.
Melt the butter and add the sauce. Bring to a boil to thicken, then reduce to a simmer.
Add the peaches and cook for 4 minutes. Add the chicken and spoon the sauce on top. Heat through. Serve with burrata cheese and honey glazed almonds.
Pro Tips
- Cheese: Burrata is the perfect way to round out the sweet and acidic flavors in this sauce. The creamy texture is also the perfect way to compliment the peaches. Fresh mozzarella is the closest substitution and ricotta works also in a pinch.
- Peaches: Choose peaches that are ripe but not overly soft to ensure they are sweet but also maintain their shape in this dish.
- Wine: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc are the best dry white wines for this recipe. Non-alcoholic wine or chicken broth may also be used.
- Nuts: Honey glazed or honey roasted nuts are a must in this dish, they add a nice crunch and take the combination of flavors to the next level. Almonds and pecans are the best options, but walnuts or even peanuts will work in a pinch.
- Serve this with: Rice, Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Potatoes, Greek Potatoes, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, Corn Salad, Spinach Salad, Greens and Beans, and more!
- More Recipes with Fresh Fruit: Peach Cobbler, Apple Pork Chops, Blackberry Cobbler, and Pineapple Fried Rice.
Storage
- Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. The chicken and sauce freeze well, however the cheese does not.

Peach Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breast
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt/Pepper
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup dry white wine, see notes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2-3 peaches, sliced
- 8 oz. Burrata Cheese, (2 balls) See notes for subs.
- ¾ cup Honey glazed almonds, or pecans
Sauce
- ¾ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon EACH: Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon EACH: dried thyme, dried basil, onion powder
Instructions
Prep Work
- Combine all ingredients in the sauce section above and set aside. Measure out remaining ingredients before beginning.
- Note: Burrata cheese is best enjoyed at room temperature, so take it out of the fridge and let it sit out for 30 minutes while you prepare the dish.
Cook the Chicken
- Slice the chicken in half lengthwise to create 2-3 thinner slices. Cover with saran wrap and use the textured side of a meat mallet to pound it to ½-inch thick. Pat the chicken dry.
- Sprinkle each side of the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken in batches for 4 minutes per side, until a golden crust has developed. Set aside.
Make the Sauce
- Turn the heat off and add the white wine. Use a silicone spatula to “clean” the bottom and sides of the skillet.
- Set heat to medium and add the garlic. Let it bubble gently and reduce by half, about 4 minutes. Add the butter and let it melt.
- Stir in the sauce mixture from step 1. Bring to a boil and let it thicken. Once thickened, reduce heat to medium-low and add the peaches. Let them soften for 4 minutes.
- Add the chicken back and spoon the sauce on top. Simmer until heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Add the burrata cheese to serving plates along with the chicken and peaches and spoon the sauce on top. Sprinkle with almonds and serve!

This was amazing! Such an incredibly delicious mix of flavors, and such an elegant meal. I served it with wild rice and arugula salad (which went perfectly with the peaches and the balsamic). This recipe was really off the charts good Stephanie! I can’t wait to make it again. Thank you so much ❤️
You’re very welcome Jenny! I’m so happy it was such a hit! I love your sides, especially the arugula salad. That’s the perfect choice for this dish! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review!💖
This recipe is a star. We served it with your macaroni salad and topped it up with Burrata. It’s perfect. My husband even didn’t realize there is balsamic vinegar in the sauce as he can’t stand any vinegar LOL. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Wonderful!! I’m sooo happy to hear that, you made my day, love that you served it with the macaroni salad, great choice! Thank you so much for the review!! -Stephanie 🙂
I’m planning on making this at an event next March. I don’t think peaches are in season then. Can I substitute frozen peaches for fresh?
Hi Jae, you sure can!!! YUM! Enjoy!
Loved this. I used 4 peaches because they were more medium to small in size. It was perfect. The Burrata cheese is yummy with the peaches and candied pecans. The sauce is delicious and blends everything together so well. I served it over basmati rice. I used an Italian Pinot Gringo wine, that I also drank with the dinner. Thanks for a one pan dinner that is delicious.
Sounds like you nailed it Colby, nice work! I love the Burrata cheese too, I think it goes perfectly in this dish. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review!💗
I made this meal this week and I really loved it. It was out of my comfort zone to make a meal like this with these ingredients. The flavor was incredible, the chicken, the almonds, the peaches, the cheese… wow, wow, wow! I didn’t know I would love it like I did. It goes together so well and just created an incredible meal.
wahooo! Thanks so much for the great comments and review Kelsy💖. I shocked my husband with this one, he’s now obsessed. One of his favorite chicken dishes.
A rare delight, something new and novel, and for me an introduction to Burrata Cheese which I’ve not tasted until now. The cheese is mild and its texture adds something exotic to the dish, a creaminess that works well with the sauce and the peaches. The process of making the dish is vintage Cozy Cook, which I find familiar now and exceedingly helpful. The flavor of the sauce, dominated by the balsamic vinegar is tart, an excellent counter to the sweetness of the peaches. What a pleasure to have this dish to trot out in peach season from now on. This is an excellent company dish, easy to assemble, and exploding with flavor. Congratulations, Stephanie, on this new and thrilling creation!
HI DAVID! I can’t tell you how much your appreciation for this dish meant to me! I was really excited and felt creative when I thought it up, and to hear you embrace the ingredients and how the flavors meld together really made my day. Thank you SO much for taking the time- you’re the best!! -Stephanie
I made this recipe tonight for my family. I’m always a sucker for sweet and savory. I have never added fruit to my chicken dishes before and boy was I missing out! The flavors in this recipe compliment each other perfectly! The creamy cheese with the savory sauce and sweet fruit is just exquisite. And you are right about those honey roasted almonds….we couldn’t get enough! I’m already planning when I can make it again. Cleaned plates for the whole family. Thank you!
I’m so happy you enjoyed the Peach Chicken Evelyn! Extra happy you enjoyed the honey roasted almonds💗. Thanks so much for the great review!
