Spread the remaining BBQ sauce over the pizza crust.
Distribute the chicken and banana peppers over each pizza. Top with cheese.
Add the pinch of red pepper flakes and freshly ground black pepper if desired.
Bake the pizzas for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust begins to brown.
Let it cool for 2 minutes prior to slicing and serving. Enjoy!
Notes
*Refrigerated pizza dough should come to room temperature first, otherwise it’s very difficult to spread. (Don’t let it become warm though.)**I like the flavor of smoked Gouda in this pizza, but a variety of Gouda flavors work well!Other topping options for this pizza include: red onions, pineapple, bell peppers, bacon, goat cheese, Feta cheese, blue cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms!
