These chocolate chip brownies are so easy to make! They're loaded with chocolate chips and swirls of creamy cheesecake. The homemade brownie mix is the best!
Combine cream cheese with ¼ cup of the sugar along with 1 egg in a mixing bowl and beat until relatively smooth. Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips and set aside.
In a heatproof mixing bowl, add the ¼ cup butter and 1 cup chocolate chips. Add some water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Turn the heat off and set the mixing bowl on top. Mix until melted together, then add 2 eggs and ½ cup sugar. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until evenly blended.
Lightly grease a 9 x 9 " baking pan and pour half of the melted chocolate mixture on the bottom and spread evenly.
Add the cream cheese mixture (it’s okay if it doesn’t coat the bottom layer completely- it won’t look perfect now but it will later!)
Top with remaining chocolate mixture. Swirl it around with a knife to make it look NEAT- it gives it a marble pattern.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the top is slightly crinkled and edges are pulled away from the pan. Let cool completely prior to cutting.
Notes
PRO TIP: Make sure to let the brownies cool completely prior to cutting them for nice clean cuts.
