These Hawaiian sandwiches feature freshly baked rolls that are that are filled with savory ham, sweet pineapple, and layers of melted cheese. The rolls are baked in the oven and brushed with melted butter and a sprinkling of salt.
Slice each roll nearly in half but leave a little left to easily fold the top back up. Layer each roll with 2 slices of ham, a slice of cheese, a pineapple slice, and one more slice of cheese. Fold the top back up.
Place the assembled rolls on a baking sheet and top loosely with foil. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and brush the top of each roll with melted butter and add a light sprinkling of salt. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the top of each roll is golden brown.
