Honey Mustard Sauce

I’m never giving my husband the job as “taste-tester” again. 😑 I had to make an entire new batch of this Honey Mustard because he basically attacked the bowl. (It didn’t help that he had a warm tortilla filled with cheese that was perfectly for dunking.)

The reason that honey mustard is so delicious is that it’s got so many flavor elements that hit you all at once, but in a perfectly harmonized way. There’s a little bit of sweet, sour, savory, and tang in this recipe. It’s thick and creamy, but not too “mayo” like. The ratio of ingredients is a perfect fit.

How to Make It

See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

  • Add all ingredients to a medium bowl. Whisk vigorously until the consistency is completely smooth, it will take a minute or two.
  • You can serve it immediately, however it tastes best if chilled in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to combine and the consistency to thicken.

  1. My husband and I loved this sauce. Used it on porkchops it was beyond delicious. Can’t wait to have it with chicken tenders and soft pretzels (2 favorites in our household). Almost perfect however we made minor adjustments to our taste (4 1/2 star rating). Going to make a batch to keep on hand.
