Warning. This isn’t just any pizza guys. I’m about to change the way that you eat pizza forever. And it’s not because we’re using grilling up delicious flatbreads.

It’s because we’re topping those grilled flatbreads with NEW Hood Cottage Cheese with Cracked Pepper. (You have to trust me on this one. Even my toddler ate this pizza.)

Since Hood cottage cheese is rich in protein, I’ve been making it my mission to ‘sneak’ it into recipes wherever possible. Turns out, it’s a pretty easy thing to slip in without people even realizing it.

Eventually, you can reveal that fact that you have been incorporating cottage cheese into lots of family-favorite recipes. Once your family learns this fact, they’ll probably start to eat it more openly. (It makes a perfect afternoon snack with crackers.)

They’ve even introduced another new variety: Hood Cottage Cheese with strawberry. (I’m a huge fan and don’t you worry, recipes are soon to come!)

Where to Find Flatbreads

There are tons of flatbread options at the grocery store. Naan bread makes a great choice but they also have larger flatbreads in square and rectangle shapes.

They can be found in the aisle where you’d find tortilla wraps. They also tend to have them near the bakery section with the homemade breads. If you have trouble finding them, ask them where the Naan bread is and you’ll see all of your options right there!

What About The Marinara?

You might notice that this pizza doesn’t have marinara sauce. Now this next statement is coming from a HUGE fan of marinara. Ready?

You don’t want to use marinara sauce in this recipe. -Why, you ask?

The roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes give it all of the rich, tomato flavor that you need. Adding marinara would overpower the pizza, trust me folks. You don’t need it. Once you taste this flavor combination, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Additional Topping Options

Additional topping options for Greek Pizza include fresh garlic, basil, spinach, black olives, green olives, fresh tomatoes, artichokes, oregano, and red pepper flakes!

You can also use the cucumber & dill or chive variety of Hood Cottage Cheese!

Oven Method

If you prefer or need to use your oven instead, simply preheat it to 400° and heat the flatbread for about 3 minutes. Add your toppings, heat it for 3 additional minutes, and serve! (How easy is that?!)

  • 2 6 x 12 inch flatbreads equal to 14 oz.
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 16 oz. Hood Cottage Cheese with Cracked Pepper
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives pitted
  • 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes patted dry
  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers patted dry
  • 1/3 cup red onions thinly sliced
  • ¾ cup Feta Cheese crumbled
  • Fresh Parsley to garnish
  • Optional Additions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 Tablespoons Greek dressing
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush each side of the flatbread with olive oil.
  3. Add the flatbread to the grill. Heat for 2-3 minutes and flip. Heat for 2-3 additional minutes.
  4. Remove the flatbread from the grill. Spread 8 oz. of Hood Cottage cheese on each.
  5. Add the remaining toppings.
  6. If desired, return the pizzas to the grill and heat with the lid closed for an additional 3 minutes prior to serving.
Oven Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and heat the flatbread for approximately 3 minutes. Remove from the oven, add toppings as instructed above, and return to the oven for 3 additional minutes. Serve warm.
