Feta Dip

This Feta Dip is something that you can make in minutes and serve immediately for guests. I love to toast up some Naan bread in the oven with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt for dipping! You can also use Pita Chips, crackers, crusty bread, or vegetables!

Do you have fresh garden cucumbers? That is another favorite for serving with this dip.

How to Make it

*See recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

  • Add softened cream cheese to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Add Feta cheese, plain Greek yogurt, garlic cloves, dill, oregano, and lemon juice and blend until combined.
  • Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • To serve warm, bake in a covered baking dish at 350° for 25 minutes.

Ingredients for Feta Dip in a food processor before and after blending.

Substitute for Plain Greek Yogurt

If you find yourself in need of a Greek Yogurt substitute, I would recommend using equal amounts of one of the following:

  • Sour cream. This would be my first choice, I make this substitution often.
  • Mayo can also be used.
  • Cottage Cheese is another alternative, the consistency won’t be quite the same but it’ll have great flavor.

Storage:

  • Store in a covered airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

What To Serve With Feta Dip

  • Toasted Naan bread, crusty French bread, crackers, pita chips, and vegetables are perfect with this dip. (Sliced cucumbers are particularly refreshing with this dip.)

  1. Hi Stephanie, looking forward to making this! Do you use fat free or full fat Greek yogurt? Thanks!

  2. Hi!
Great dip, thanks for sharing the recipe. Is it possible to freeze the dip?

    Thank you!

  3. Just come back from a holiday in Greece & 1 restaurant served this with slices of bread. Loved it so much we decided to see if we could make something similar. Yours is the same as on holiday. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi Bern!! I am sooo happy that you were able to replicate this at home! I absolutely love this dip too! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know how it came out for you!!

  4. Thank you for sharing your recipe. If I were to bake this; could I use the warm dip as a ‘pasta’ sauce – maybe with some penne pasta and grilled chicken?
Do you think that might work?
    Thank you.

    • Hi Francesca, I would imagine that this would need to be doctored up a bit to be used as a pasta sauce and I have yet to attempt to use it for that purpose, so unfortunately I can’t provide any specifics on that! I do think it would be tasty though! 🙂

  5. I see you can serve it warmed or chilled – which do you recommend?

  6. What can/should I use instead of dill?

  7. Amazing flavor! I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Perfect summer appetizer, thanks for the recipe!

  8. Hi there! What if I don’t own a food processor? What else could I use to mix the ingredients?! I have a blender, would that work?
    Thanks!

  9. One of my favourite dips ever!!! So easy to make and such a crowd pleaser.
