There’s no doubt that one of the best things about Easter is the AWESOME candy we get to eat! And Reece’s peanut butter eggs are definitely on the top of that list. There is nothing fancy about making these, either. FIVE total ingredients are involved- most of which you probably have in your house!!! SHOCKING, I tell you. I made it with smooth peanut butter but you can use chunky too! Other than that, I wouldn’t suggest changing a thing, maybe throw a few festive sprinkles on top if you’re feeling extra festive, but other than that, I got NOTHIN. These are perfect!
4 oz. semi sweet chocolate (2/3 cup chocolate chips)
In a large bowl, melt butter and peanut butter together and stir until well combined.
Add in vanilla and powdered sugar, and continue to stir until thoroughly mixed.
Scoop out balls of equal size (about 10 total) and roll into an egg shape. Place in the fridge for about 10 minutes to chill.
Place a small saucepan with water on the stove and bring to a simmer. Place another saucepan over it and add chocolate. This is a great method for melting chocolate. Stir around until smooth and melted.
Drop each egg, one at a time, into the chocolate, and cover it. Remove each and drop onto wax paper- let cool.
